David G. Kennedy
DAVID
G. KENNEDY is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He is a 2001 graduate from
the Alabama School of Mathematics and Sciences, where he currently serves on
the Board of Directors for the Foundation and also serves on the School
Board. David is a 2004 graduate of the University of Alabama with degrees in
Political Science and English, and he is a 2007 graduate of Cumberland
School of Law at Samford University. While in law school, David was
consistently on the Dean’s List and won several academic awards, including
the Scholar of Merit Award in Civil Procedure.
During law school, David served as a law clerk in
numerous Birmingham and Mobile firms, including Plaintiffs’ and Defense
firms. David was admitted to practice law throughout Alabama in 2007, and he
is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern
District of Alabama and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern
District of Alabama. He is also admitted to practice in Mississippi, and
plans to sit for the Florida bar exam next year. Email:

Prior to joining the firm in early 2009, David
worked at another Mobile law firm that specialized in (1) premises liability
defense of several national and international retailers and (2) various
immigration issues for individuals and businesses. Since joining the firm,
David has enjoyed handling cases in a variety of areas including insurance
defense, personal injury, wills and estate planning, bankruptcy, corporate
matters, commercial and residential construction litigation, medical
malpractice, suretyship and bond defense, and immigration; he has also
partnered with numerous local businesses in strategic business and legal
planning.David is a member of the Mobile Bar Association, the Defense
Research Institute, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.
In his free time, David enjoys playing various
musical instruments, including guitar, bass guitar, and mandolin. He also
enjoys playing golf.
